Make your way through playful learning adventures, including:
• Visit the Purple Planet with Dora and Boots as you climb inside and slide down on the surface of the Purple Planet.
• Put on a spacesuit, pilot the ship, and test your memory with images of colorful planets as you help Dora and Boots take their outer-space friends home.
• Identify the patterns made out of stars by inserting star shapes to light up a constellation.

BEST CHILDREN'S MUSEUMS

Parent's Magazine (2011)
Bring your budding scientist to St. Paul. There will be plenty of stuff for her to do in every gallery -- from manipulating light so that it casts shadows to learning the properties of water while racing boats to hearing about the life cycle of a turtle. She can put on a princess, horse, or dragon costume and test out her physics principles by building towers and fairy-tale castles in the special Lego Castle Adventure exhibit, which runs from February 15 to September 11. If you're taking a baby or preschooler along, retreat to Habitot, the padded, toy-filled gallery just for kids age 4 and under. Best for ages 6 months to 6 years.

BEST INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT

MN Parent Magazine
MN Parent Magazine voted Minnesota Children's Museum as the Best Indoor Entertainment for Babies & Preschoolers!

BEST CHILDREN's MUSEUM - 3 YEARS RUNNING!

Nickelodeon's Parents Connect
The Minnesota Children's Museum - voted Best Museum for Little Kids in the Twin Cities in Parents' Picks program - allows kids ages six months through ten years, and their adult guests, to explore galleries packed with extraordinary hands-on adventures.

Families can also retreat to a private nursing room or a resource room supplied with publications about infant and toddler growth and development for a little quiet time. Kid Spark offers healthy meal and snack choices, and a selection of toys, books, and gifts.

The museum's calendar is packed with special programs and events. Some are unique, tied to travelling exhibits; others, such as overnight group Camp-Ins, are offered regularly, with changing themed activities. Friday Family Fun Nights and Toddler Tuesdays feature more special activities.
